Terms of Service

1. The service

StockInvestor ("we", "us") provides an online tool for recording and analysing investments in securities listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. Not investment advice

StockInvestor is a record-keeping and analysis tool. Nothing in it, including scores, screener results, reports and calculators, is investment, tax or legal advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You are responsible for your own investment decisions.

3. Market data

Prices, corporate actions and company information come from third-party and public sources. They may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Check important figures against your broker and CDS statements.

4. Your account

You must give accurate details when you register and keep your password and any two-factor codes safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

5. Plans and trial

New accounts receive 30 days of Premium free, once per account. When the trial ends, the account moves to the Free plan unless it has been upgraded. Your data is kept; features outside your plan stop being available until you upgrade.

No payment is taken in the app. To move to a paid plan, contact us using the details on the Contact page and we will arrange it with you.

If online payment is introduced, we will update these terms, and tell you, before it applies to you.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other users’ data, disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or use it for anything unlawful.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for investment losses or for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version on this page. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You may stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction.
